Psalm 99
1 The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.
1 The Lord is King, be the people | never • so im- | patient; ||
he sitteth between the Cherubim, be the | earth | never • so un- | quiet. ||
2 The Lord is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.
2 The Lord is great in Sion, and 3 high a- | bove all | people. ||
3 They shall give thanks unto thy Name, which is | great, | wonder•ful, and | holy. ||
3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.
4 The king's strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.
4 The King's | power • loveth | judgment; ||
thou hast prepared equity, * thou hast executed | 3 judgment and | righteous•ness in | Jacob. ||
5 Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.
5 O magnify the | Lord our | God, ||
and fall down before his | footstool; | for • he is | holy. ||
6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the Lord, and he answered them.
6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, * and Samuel among such as | call up•on his | Name: ||
these | called up•on the | Lord, • and he | heard them. ||
7 He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.
7 He spake unto them out of the | cloudy | pillar; ||
for they kept his testimonies, | and the | law • that he | gave them. ||
8 Thou answeredst them, O Lord our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.
8 Thou heardest them, O | Lord our | God; ||
thou forgavest them, O God, though thou didst | punish • their | wicked | doings. ||
9 Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.
9 O magnify the | Lord our | God, ||
and worship him upon his holy hill; * for the | Lord our | God is | holy. ||
