Psalm 108
1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
1 O God, my heart is ready, my | heart is | ready; ||
I will sing, and give praise with the best | member | that I | have. ||
2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
2 Awake, thou | lute and | harp; ||
I my- | self • will a- | wake right | early. ||
3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
3 I will give thanks unto thee, O | Lord, a•mong the | peoples; ||
I will sing | praises • unto | thee a•mong the | nations. ||
4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
4 For thy mercy is | greater • than the | heavens, ||
and thy | truth • reacheth | 3 unto the | clouds. ||
5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
5 Set up thyself, O | God, a•bove the | heavens, ||
and thy | glory a•bove | all the | earth; ||
6 That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
6 That thy be- | loved may • be de- | livered: ||
let thy right hand | save • them, and | hear thou | me. ||
7 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
7 God hath | spoken • in his | holi•ness; ||
I will rejoice therefore, and divide Shechem, * and 3 mete | out the | 3 valley of | Succoth. ||
8 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
8 Gilead is mine, and Ma- | 3 nasseh is | mine; ||
Ephraim | also • is the | 3 strength of my | head; ||
9 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.
Judah is my lawgiver; | 9 Moab • is my | wash-pot; ||
over Edom will I cast out my shoe; * upon Phi- | lis•tia | will I | triumph. ||
10 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
10 Who will lead me into the | strong | city? ||
and | who will | bring me • into | Edom? ||
11 Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?
11 Hast not thou for- | saken • us, O | God? ||
and wilt not thou, O | God, go | 3 forth with our | hosts? ||
12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
12 O help us a- | gainst the | ene•my: ||
for | vain • is the | help of | man. ||
13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
13 Through God we shall | do great | acts; ||
and it is | he that • shall tread | down our | ene•mies. ||
