Psalm 26
1 Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.
1 Be thou my Judge, O Lord, for 3 I | have walked | inno•cently: ||
my trust hath been also in the Lord, * | therefore | shall I • not | fall. ||
2 Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
2 Examine me, O | Lord, and | prove me; ||
3 try | out my | reins • and my | heart. ||
3 For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.
3 For thy loving-kindness is ever be- | fore mine | eyes; ||
3 and | I will | 3 walk in thy | truth. ||
4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.
4 I have not | dwelt with • vain | persons; ||
neither will I have | fellow•ship | 3 with the de- | ceitful. ||
5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.
5 I have hated the congre- | gation • of the | wicked; ||
and will not | sit a- | mong • the un- | godly. ||
6 I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O Lord:
6 I will wash my hands in innocency, O Lord; * and so will I 3 go | to thine | altar; ||
7 That I may show the voice of thanksgiving, * and tell of | all thy | wondrous | works. ||
7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.
8 Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.
8 Lord, I have loved the habi- | tation • of thy | house, ||
and the | place • where thine | honour | dwelleth. ||
9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:
9 O shut not up my soul with the sinners, * nor my | life • with the | blood•thirsty; ||
10 In whose hands is wickedness, and their | right • hand is | full of | gifts. ||
10 In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.
11 But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.
11 But as for me, | 3 I will walk | inno•cently: ||
O de- | liver • me, | and be | merciful • unto me. ||
12 My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the Lord.
12 My | foot • standeth | right: ||
I will praise the | Lord • in the | congre- | gations. ||
